CLARITY INSTEAD OF BACKDROP
With Seegatten, a holistic hospitality concept was created on Pellworm that redefines the tension between originality and ambition through design. The goal was to develop a coherent brand architecture that unites the diverse offering – from dining to hospitality to retail and events – under one coherent, identity-shaping umbrella brand.

At the heart of the project was the development of a strategic brand idea that provides orientation without flattening the diversity of the offering. The result is a flexible yet consistent system that gives every sub-area room to develop – while strengthening the overall presence. The positioning: reduced, Nordic, genuine. A brand that doesn't stage itself, but invites you in. Not exalted, but touching.

The visual identity translates this attitude into a clear, calm and meaningful design. The reduced formal language, structured layout principles and a nature-inspired colour palette reflect the quiet power of the island. Typographically, restraint meets precision: a design that provides orientation and conveys values such as authenticity, reliability and calm.

The visual identity works as a connecting element across every touchpoint – from communication in physical space to print media to digital applications. This turns diversity into a visual bracket, structure into an experience, and a place into a brand that carries weight.
The Seegatten project stands for a well-founded connection between brand strategy and design intelligence – and shows how design can make an attitude visible and tangible. Quiet. Clear. With depth.
